When James and Corina said “I do,” it wasn’t just a wedding, it was a showdown. Vampires in satin gowns squared off against zombies with full SFX prosthetics, and somewhere in between lurked a Thriller-dancing ghoul and a quirky Texas chapel with a home-made electric chair. This was not your average Halloween wedding… it was a zombie vampire wedding in full cinematic glory.

Getting ready and those killer outfits

Corina walked down the aisle in a blood-red gown that looked like it was pulled from the wardrobe of a gothic queen. The dramatic tulle veil was a last-minute addition, flowing behind her like smoke from a bonfire. Her bouquet of red and black roses (yes, with tiny eyeballs peeking out) nailed the undead aesthetic while still looking beyond gorgeous.

The wedding party leaned hard into the theme. Bridesmaids wore sleek black dresses with bouquets that matched Corina’s, while the groomsmen embraced the horror show with custom vampire fangs and zombie prosthetics by Raven Faye SFX. One standout arrived in full Michael Jackson “Thriller” mode, which meant the undead didn’t just shuffle… they fully moonwalked.

The venue

Lizzy Gator Event Venue in Pilot Point, Texas is already a playground for weird weddings, but this day it looked like a set from a Hammer horror film. Guests found themselves walking past giant pumpkins lined up the aisle, a graveyard staging area, and the chapel tilted just enough to look straight out of a Tim Burton dream. Parked out front, a beat-up vintage car covered in skeletal decor doubled as a photo backdrop for the newlyweds.

Ceremony
As guests took their seats, the zombie wedding party lurched in through the faux cemetery, one by one, giving a whole new spin to the processional. By the time Corina met James at the chapel steps, officiated by a skeletal-robed figure, everyone was grinning. Gothic romance met campy horror, and it was glorious.

Reception

Inside, the reception was an explosion of spooky detail. Tables were dotted with pumpkins, glowing lights, and creepy decor like skeletal hands and witch figurines. Guests grazed at a buffet framed by purple LED lights while life-sized ghouls stood guard nearby.
The cake deserves its own horror movie trailer. A sleek three-tier cake in blood-red fondant looked almost too smooth and perfect… until the venue owner and photographer snuck in a topper of fake bugs and a severed finger to push it fully into zombie territory. Sitting alongside it was a second cake styled like an ancient cursed book, looking straight out of Evil Dead. Guests couldn’t believe they were edible.

Their first dance? Straight to Rocky Horror. Because of course it was.
Final word

This wasn’t just a themed wedding… it was a mash-up of two horror genres, brought to life by a couple who knew exactly how to lean into the camp, the craft, and the chaos. A zombie vampire wedding this committed makes you wonder: why settle for one spooky aesthetic when you can have them all?
