Medical student Jordan Jay and her fiancé Nicholas wanted to do something dramatic and different for their winter engagement photoshoot. Jordan’s sister Helen Jay took these shots (here’s to keeping it in the family!) and helped the couple create this passionate winter engagement photos.
Jordan says:
When my sister encouraged me and my fiancé to do a winter engagement shoot, I was sick of seeing the typical bright and bubbly pictures on my Instagram feed. My fiancé and I are happy people, don’t get me wrong, but I wanted our engagement shoot to mirror how we really are as a couple…. which is more intense and passionate than airy and light.
Being medical students, we both have to bring an intensity to our studies to succeed. That ferocity for our work bleeds into our daily lives and our love for each other.
My sister Helen did an amazing job and I think they showcase the essence of our relationship! Nicholas and I have a unique complex relationship. So why have engagement photos that are boring and run of the mill?”
