I now wish I’d gone with paper flowers for my bouquet and convinced my mum we could use them for decor instead of the live flowers. So… pretty… and I could still have them. *sniffle* Perhaps for our paper anniversary!
I am making all our flowers out of fabric, so I really appreciate these kinds of posts. I have a tough time picking my fav out of all these … I kept scrolling and saying “Ohhh, that’s my favorite …. no, that one is my favorite … GAH, THAT’S my favorite!!!” They are all amazing!
I’m really love the whole paper flower thing. They look so pretty and the colors are always so bright and fun.
While I love the real looking flowers the textured paper in Cath’s bouquet is very intriguing.
Posts like this one make me happy that I chose paper flowers instead of fresh ones. When you go paper the possibilities never end!
Love love these! All of my flowers are being handmade out of paper by me for my wedding!
I’m the Kellie that made the blue/black/white bouquet for Katie that’s pictured above. Thank you, Offbeat Bride, for posting the picture again! ohmygosh I love paper flowers, I want them for my wedding too. These are amazing! More possibilities than I thought were possible! !!!
My entire wedding decor is being made with paper. My bouquet is paper flowers and buttons, my centerpieces are paper mustaches on sticks, I have flower arrangements to be placed throughout the venue as decor, and I made all of my invitations as well. I am also making the girls that are helping me with my wedding paper hair flowers as a thank you that they get to wear at the wedding! 🙂 We are getting married in a Tim burton- esque venue, and our wedding is a Rockabilly wedding 3 days before Halloween, so we want it to be fun and different and a little wacky but not tacky!
I too am using paper bouquets for myself, maid of honor, and flower girl (she’s just walking down the aisle with the smallest version of what I have and is super excited to have it to keep!). I couldn’t imagine using flowers that were going to die within a few days and LOVE the fact that our bouquets are made out of vintage wine dictionaries as I can be a bit of a word snob and wine snob! I found it on etsy (http://www.etsy.com/listing/86497298/bridal-bouquet-vintage-book-page-paper), however I found tons of tutorials on the web as I considered crafting my own as well as major amounts of other etsy sellers with them. I love this trend!!
I just discovered this awesome website and I really dig these groovy flower ideas!! YAY!
I love the book flowers, but I just can’t bring myself to destroy a book like that. Just can’t do it. *sadface*
Just wanted to thank you for being part of the inspiration that helped my sister and I create unique alternative floral arrangements for her wedding. We pinned several of your ideas.
We weren’t able to use them all for the wedding, but as event planners we’ll be trying others in the future!
If anyone is looking for a tutorial, I recently wrote one up after my wedding (bouquet in action pics included!) http://chocolateandbacon.blogspot.com/2014/10/paper-flower-bouquet-diy.html
