I’m a documentary wedding photographer based in Los Angeles, shooting weddings and elopements throughout California. I focus on real, candid moments; I’ll be a fly-on-the-wall and let you be present in the full joy of your celebration.

When I’m photographing, I’m always seeking vivid colors, real emotions, gestures and body language that tell the story between people. I focus intently on the people in front of me and their unique story. I approach every wedding like Les Blank, a documentarian that I admire… wide open listening, looking for who these people really are. And photographing things not just how they look, but how they feel! I aim to photograph real life, how it really looks in front of us — which is different than how it looks in a mirror, or through a cameraphone lens.

How I cater to offbeat weddings

I seek out those who are turned off by the Wedding Industrial Complex; folks who want to celebrate their love and the joining of their cultures & communities. I think that everyone deserves to have beautiful pictures of themselves, especially on their wedding day.

I am a queer non-binary Latinx photographer, and I love photographing other people who exist in liminal spaces. LGBT wedding photography; multicultural wedding photography; any kind of alternative wedding in California and beyond.

And I do mean beyond: I travel frequently for weddings, up and down the West Coast, and side to side.

I’m glad to be listed on Offbeat Wed, because I tend to attract, well… offbeat people! While I’ve taken photos at luxury resorts and high class hotels, I’ve also shot plenty more weddings in backyards, libraries, parks, beaches, and video game arcades. I’m about to shoot a wedding featuring an Aquabats pool party. And the previous wedding involved traditional mariachi outfits and horchatas-to-go. Whatever is special to you, and however you want to celebrate it: I can capture that spark.
