Hi I'm Jamie!

Originally from Glasgow, Scotland I moved to Seattle in 2015 to be with my husband and in 2018 I started capturing weddings. Since 2020 I've been a full time photographer and honestly there's no job I'd rather have in the whole world. I get to spend my summers going to events where people are always happy, there's usually cake, and I get to see couples marry their favorite person.

I describe my photography style as editorial or photojournalistic which is a fancy way of saying I follow you around capturing organic photos rather than forcing moments. I'm a little bit moody in my tones and a prompter not a poser.

How I cater to offbeat weddings

I capture my wedding couples exactly as they are. Your day is about you, your connection to each other, and your connection to your family & friends. Think of me as a professional fly on the wall capturing your day as it happened. I receive a lot of compliments from couples on how at ease I made them feel, and many wedding guests comment on how personable I am (15 years as a barista means I can talk to anyone) and often they think I’m a friend of the couple which is the highest compliment I know!

When I’m not photographing weddings I’m probably reading a book, playing a video game, taking a hike, or showing someone a photo of my dog. He’s very photogenic.

Jamie is such a fantastic photographer and human being. He captured our wedding day and the atmosphere perfectly—and our guests loved him! So many of our guests were surprised that he wasn't a friend we'd hired for the event because of how seamlessly he fit in with our group.
