If you're dreaming about a Seattle waterfront wedding that mixes heartfelt family moments with serious glam, Peter and Felix’s celebration at Ray’s Boathouse is about to set your heart on fire. From bold suits to surprise sequin jackets, this queer wedding was packed with emotion, color, and the kind of joy that can only come from bringing your whole self to your big day.

The festivities kicked off at the Ballard Locks, where Peter and Felix gathered with their families for portraits. And gurl, it was nothing but love — siblings, parents, everyone radiating genuine, tear-bright support.

The couple turned heads (and got a ton of compliments) as they strolled the park in their brilliantly bold blue and purple suits, setting the tone for a day all about vibrant authenticity. Felix's suit shimmered with deep jewel-toned purple, while Peter’s cobalt blue popped vividly against the lush greenery. The love and pride from their families was so palpable, you could practically feel it radiating from every hug and smile.

When it was time for the ceremony at Ray’s Boathouse, the deck overlooking the Olympic Mountains (aka Sun-A-Do, their Indigenous name, as honored in the ceremony!) was bathed in golden light. The ceremony backdrop was endless water and peaks, creating a ceremony space that felt both epic and intimate.

In one of the most touching moments of the day, both Peter and Felix walked down the aisle with both of their parents, beaming and emotional. Their siblings stood proudly as their persons of honor, flanking them with visible pride. Felix added a flowing cape for the ceremony — a deep purple masterpiece that caught the breeze and trailed behind him like royalty.

Their nonbinary officiant, decked out in an incredible outfit (fierce boots, a statement jacket, and bold jewelry) delivered a ceremony that was less about tradition and more about community: celebrating not just Peter and Felix, but the entire chosen and biological family surrounding them.

Inside, the reception space at Ray’s was decked out in crisp white linens, minimalist greenery, and vivid bursts of flowers, creating a fresh, lively contrast to the deep tones of the suits. Each table was named after a Queer Trailblazer, a subtle but powerful nod to LGBTQ+ history, woven right into the evening’s storytelling.

Speeches from siblings and parents were a full-blown tearjerker competition — spoiler: everyone won. There were hands pressed over hearts, joyful tears wiped away with cocktail napkins, and laughter ringing out across the waterfront.

And then… the sequin reveal.
Just when guests thought they'd seen it all, Peter and Felix burst onto the dance floor in glittering sequin jackets, swapping their ceremony looks for pure party fabulousness. Peter’s jacket caught the light with every twirl, while Felix’s sparkle practically demanded a spotlight of its own. Peter even busted out an Irish jig with his sister — high steps, laughter, and an explosion of cheers — while Felix and his family nailed a choreographed four-person dance that brought the house down.

By the time the dancefloor opened to everyone else, it was packed wall-to-wall with joy, sequins, and people living their absolute best lives.
This wedding wasn't just about two people getting married… it was about honoring where they came from, who stood with them, and the bright, dazzling future they’re creating together.
