I'm a queer, body-positive, outdoors-loving photographer based in Seattle, WA. My style is documentary and true-to-color. I take photos that really show how it felt to be there, so you can relive your wedding day every time you look at them. This means lots of candids throughout the day and colors that look the way you remember and not overly filtered. My approach to photography focuses on authenticity – I want to create images that feel true to you and make you feel seen and beautiful. I've got experience with film and digital photography, and I'm always ready to get creative to help you make your visions a reality.
How I cater to offbeat weddings
As a plus-sized, neurodivergent lesbian myself, I’m very aware of both the joys and the struggles of not fitting in to the standard wedding mold. My goal is to help everyone feel comfortable, confident, and seen in front of the camera.
Specific ways in which I make my services accessible and inclusive to all:
- gender-neutral contracts and forms
- gender-neutral posing guidance – I never rely on a “man” role or a “woman” role in any pose
- accessibility needs info in forms – no need to go out of your way to inform me of relevant accessibility needs for you or your guests; there’s already room for that in my pre-wedding questionnaire
The best wedding photographer! Flexible, fun SO sweet, an amazing candid photographer. She made portraits and couples photos feel so easy!! I felt natural and not stiff, I am so so thankful for her ... Could not recommend Emily enough, even gave us Polaroids of sneak peeks day of! (I cannot do the polaroids justice!)
