Sarah and Bob wanted their wedding to have a vintage circus wedding theme. They also wanted it to feel timeless with elements of Vaudeville, burlesque, pin-up, and Tim Burton, too. Their sideshow-inspired save-the-dates and invitations started everything off.
The Quixotic World couldn’t have been a more perfect venue for them. They instantly fell in love with its dark interior, throne furniture, and red velvet carpet aisle. Their ceremony had a ringmaster officiant, a “Hell Yeah” call and response with the guests, and a dainty 127-lb American Bulldog in a tutu. Now that requires a “hell yeah!”
No carnival reception is complete until you step right up and win some prizes, right? They had faux goldfish-in-a-bag soaps and cotton candy as a cute thank you gift and place setting on the tables. A French band, La Pompe kept the atmosphere going along with a magician, stilt walker, tarot card readers, and an aerial hoop act. Texas State Fair goodies like corn dogs, sliders, fried Oreos, and individual funnel cakes kept everyone's belly full. The movie Devil’s Carnival and other horror classics like Nosferatu were silently projected on a wall.
But the photo booth… omg. Think a tassel-clad snake charmer and a super buff strong man. The guests even performed in sideshow acts including a self-professed awkward first song (with ukulele) instead of a first dance. I have a feeling their version of “Cigarettes, Whiskey, and Wild Wild Women” was more skilled than they let on…
Shall we take a look? Are you already too flummoxed?! I don't blame you. Look anyway and be bowled over…

I’ve loved so many weddings on this site but have never written in before. I. LOVE. THIS! The color, the shoes, THE BULLDOG!, the invites, the hair, the outfits–I am dying. And now totally in love with this couple and will pretend they are my friends.
Beautiful! and Mazels!
This wedding literally has everything I have dreamed of! Wow. I would die to film something like this!
I don’t doubt that most, if not all, was done by the couple themselves. Seriously so talented!!!
Love, love, LOVE THIS!!!!! Huzzah for musical/theatrical folk!!!!
Okay, this is too good! Like, seriously, TOO GOOD!
Also, Devi’s Carnival?! Swoon! I thought my husband and I were the only two who even knew about that movie!
