Sparkly silver wedding shoes for super snazzy feet [UPDATED for 2022!]

While white wedding shoes and blue wedding shoes are still some of the most popular colors for wedding footwear, we know that silver has taken its spot up there, too… and with good reason. Silver is essentially a neutral, it’s sparkly, it’s super fun, and there are tons of options due to its popularity.

Let’s go shopping for awesome silver boots, silver wedding heels, silver Oxfords, and of course, silver wedding flats and wedges…

Wedding wedges you can actually walk in, with lace, ivory, and gold [UPDATED for 2022!]

Last week, one reader suggested wedges and I was all, ooh, it’s been a hot minute since I last did a post about wedding wedges. (Did you know we have a whole archive of posts dedicated to wedding wedges? OH YES!) So this week I’m rounding up wedding wedges in shades of gold, ivory, and lace… kinda frilly, a little shiny, and hopefully solid enough through the heel that you can walk in them. I’ve even got one pair of gold wedge high-tops, because, well, I loves me some high tops.

Friday freakout: wedding wedges [Updated for 2022!]

This week I’ll be panting over wedges. I’m a huge fan of wedges because they give you that lift of a heel, without the stab of a stiletto (or even the wobble of a kitten heel). As always, I aimed for a range of colors (white wedges! red wedges! blue wedges!) and costs (from forty bucks affordable to zomg those shoes almost cost as much as my entire wedding budget).

Going up? Platforms to add a little height to your wedding day [UPDATED for 2022!!]

I’m a sucker for a platform. Is it because I came of age during the height of the ’90s club kid stacked platform fad? Is it because I love being taller, without being up on my toes? Is it because of all the colors you can cram into the extra square inch-age of shoe material? No clue, you guys… but I love platforms.

In this post, I’ve got everything from high heeled platforms to flatforms with almost no heel-height differential. You ready? BE READY.

Coral wedding shoes: pumps, flats, and skulls! [UPDATED for 2023!]

Can we talk about coral? It’s not quite orange, but not quite pink. It’s definitely brighter than peach, and it complements teal perfectly if you’re into that kind of thing. It’s also the color that I’m single-mindedly fixating on today, with a whole post full of pumps, flats, and the most adorably dapper coral nubuck oxfords. Interestingly, several of these shoes also involve skulls in various ways… I love it when macabre details show up in unexpected places.

Wedding shoes with very low heels {UPDATED!}

You know how I wore those 4-inch pumps last weekend? Yeah, I still can’t totally feel two of my toes. Those shoes were so cute, but fuck you guys: TOO TALL! I heard from one Offbeat Bride who said that she wore heels on her wedding day and couldn’t feel a couple of her toes until she got back from the honeymoon. NooOoOooo, friends! Noooo! Save the toes!

In the spirit of non-numb toes, this week I’m going to focus on low-heeled shoes. A few flats, but mostly low heels with nothing over 2″ high. Enough to get a little lift, but not so much that you can’t feel your toes. Join me?
