We wanted a forest-themed wedding because of our shared love of nature and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in which we live. We also wanted to focus on our friends, family, and community. We sought out vendors we knew, the caterer used produce from the farm where Adrienne volunteers. The favors (goat’s milk soap) and the flowers both came from vendors at our farmer's market.

Ashley channeled a bohemian goddess from head to gold-toe Doc Martens, and Dave rocked his tux with his signature fully ringed fingers. The ceremony was performed by a family friend, surrounded by a small group of family and friends in the stunning atrium. Both Ashley and Dave are coffee enthusiasts so for their cocktail hour they had a coffee bar by Caffe Amouri.

Their vegan wedding dinner was Irish breakfast-themed catered by DC Vegan. At the end, they were sent off by a cascade of bubbles. You’ve got to see this one…

A Medieval camping festival wedding (aka Game of Thrones meets Burning Man meets Asian customs!)

We wanted an outdoorsy, Game of Thrones meets Burning Man meets Asian customs wedding. It opened with a "Red Army" parade: a parade of our closest friends with banners, drums, bubbles, and flowers! The groom, Nick, also read family vows to my daughter. We had 300 pounds of meat (because we both love food), belly dancers, live music, fire performers, and a bounce house!
