Meaghan & Stuart’s book-loving dual wedding in California and Scotland

A glossary program, library book ring holder, author table names, and a big old stack of books made out of cake — we LOVE book week! This wedding is a double dose of awesome with a ceremony and reception at a California vineyard and a second reception in Glasgow, Scotland! We’re glad a book kept these two together so we could see this wedding!

A blue-haired video game designer marries an IT genius

Faye, a video game designer, and Ryan, an IT genius, got married in Faye’s hometown of Eugene, Oregon. These two were all about having a relaxed day with a twist — the wedding decor, attire (including Ryan’s shirt), and cake was themed to match the bride’s electric blue hair! Faye altered her own strapless high-low dress, paired it with knee-high Fluevog boots, and tucked her hair under a a birdcage veil. A geektastic costume shindig featuring winged shoes, fist bumps, and a groom dressed like Indiana Jones

I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that Sean is a pretty massive Indiana Jones fan — what with the fact that he dressed up as Indy for his wedding and all. His equally costume-enthusiastic bride, Urania, swapped out her full-length wedding gown for a N7 (the special forces in Mass Effect) ensemble later in the night, and costumes donned by guests included Harry Potter, knights, and a Gingerbread Man.

Suzanne & Tim’s Whovian winery wedding

The Day of the Doctor is coming in honor of Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary. What better way to relish one of our fave fandoms than to have a Doctor Who theme week? Today we’ve got a Whovian couple who got engaged while dressed as Doctor Who characters and wanted to tie that into their decor. Include some Gallifreyan script, some TARDIS blue, and a really fun idea for a guest book, and you’ve got this amazing winery wedding.
