transgender

We’ve been talking about transgender weddings since 2008, and love supporting folks as they find trans wedding outfits (whether it’s a dress or suit or a combination of both!), lots of inspirational photos, and ceremony ideas. Depending on how you identify, you may also want to check out our nonbinary weddings, too!

A backyard labor of love wedding (with a dream kilt + red dress combo!)

This backyard labor of love wedding is darkly beautiful with rich reds (in hair, clothes, and decor!), an awesome handmade feast, and a courtyard ceremony full of tears and handwritten vows. You’ll love the long red gown and kilt/boots combo(!) on these brides. Don’t miss the sweet serenade during the reception!

Transgender weddings: where are all the MTF and transfem brides?

Which states have gender neutral marriage certificates?

I’m non-binary, and she’s binary trans. Neither of us have done anything to medically or therapeutically transition and probably won’t be any time soon. We were both born and currently live in Tennessee, so even if we did medically transition, I’m pretty sure we’re out of luck when it comes to changing our birth certificates. It would be ideal to have a marriage license that uses gender neutral terms like “partner” or “spouse.”

Are there any states which have gender neutral marriage certificate language?
