This South Asian three-day wedding of our daydreams had dance performances to write home about
Shazia and her family are Pakistani and Imran and his family are from Bangladesh. Both are of the Muslim faith. They hosted the seriously stunning South Asian three-day wedding of our dreams. There were also two performances by Vanderbilt University’s South Asian dance team, The BhangraDores totally worth seeing. Let’s gaze at the whole gorgeous three-day wedding.
All the wedding guests wore unicorn headbands at this glittery unicorn wedding
We can’t adequately prepare you for the sheer awesomeness of this colorful unicorns everywhere wedding between two rad ladies in Tennessee. We’re talking unicorn masks, handmade unicorn headbands for EVERYONE, life-sized unicorn faux taxidermy, 11 dog-sized papier-mâché unicorn sculptures, bright feathers instead of flowers, and hundreds of upcycled wine bottles covered in rose and yellow gold glitter of all varieties. It was an explosion of glitter and fantasy that will make your year. Don’t miss the Gremlins 2 reference, too!
Jayme & Sondra’s rustic blended family wedding
Two brides, two children, and all of us looking at them like the heart-eyed emoticon. With a gorgeous estate backdrop and only 30 days to plan, this wedding came together like gangbusters. And when you hear what the brides’ son did after the ceremony, you just might join our collective “aww.”
Luci & Josh’s relaxing backyard wedding
Some weddings just lull you into a safe and happy place where things work out and smiles abound. This wedding is your respite from a rough day: a sunny and warm afternoon in Tennessee, comfort food (Southern-style, natch), dried wildflower bouquets, and hand-written vows. The only thing that would make it better would be a pooch in a tux. Oh wait, they had him, too!
