steampunk

We featured our first steampunk wedding back in 2007, and have been celebrating the Neo-Victorian aesthetic ever since! We’ve got everything from grooms in googles and top hats to brides in gorgeous bustled steampunk wedding dresses… if you like this look, be sure to check out our wedding corset archive, as well.

Toni & Mark’s Civil War costumed picnic wedding

With a love for Civil War reenactment, it was no surprise that this couple and their friends were totally down for a period costume picnic. Add in tons of help from those friends and family with a potluck pulled pork feast, and you’ve got a community-supported party in the making. You’ll also want to hear the story of the groom saving the bride from a rogue box fan.

Cindy & Joe’s steampunk sci-fi DIY wedding

Cost-effectiveness, steampunk, fun times, and recycling were the tenets of this wedding. Those along with a whole lot of style! With some geeky references and really sweet love letters (full of psychic connections!), this steampunk wedding will definitely leave you thinking that these two were meant to be.

Shannon & Tim’s Neo-Victorian steampunk wedding

After having very traditional first weddings, this couple knew that this time around, the whole shebang was going to be totally personalized. Plus, it’s in the form of a steampunk/Neo-Victorian ceremony in a museum followed by an at-home reception with all the nearest and dearest, so we totally approve. You’ll go batty over the corset and bird cage “bouquet” too!
