Silver shoes for sparkly wedding toes

By special request… silver shoes! I’ve done many posts about sparkly shoes (which of course includes silver), but never have I just set my sights on this one type of metallic.

As always, I tried to get a full range of options — from the holographic Vivienne Westwood flats above, to sparklingly prim little pumps, to dapper Oxfords so sparklingly silver that they might as well be disco balls. You’ll find a range of prices, too. And the bonus shoe stays in the metallic flavor, but comes way WAY out of left field, reminding me of some club kid shoes I wore in the mid-’90s.

Advanced wedding footwear: high heels I love but probably can’t walk in

For those of you who are more advanced heel-walkers than I am, I decided to round up a collection of shoes that I absolutely adore… but probably can’t walk in. If you can manage these on your wedding day, I bow down to you. In fact, maybe that’s the solution: if someone bows down and carries you around on your wedding day, these are all the perfect shoes. PERFECT.

Glittery shoes: the summer 2013 edition (with Oxfords for the dapper-footed!)

This certainly isn’t my first day stomping down the glittering, campy road of sparkly-ass wedding shoes. Sequins! Rhinestones! Glitter! I’ve been down this path before.

Today, however, it’s not just about sky-high sparkly drag queen shoes. (Although yes, I have included a pair from RuPaul’s shoe line.) Today, in addition to my usual heels and pumps, I’m making a point to include a ton of glittering oxfords and boots for the dapper-footed among us. Because who says the femmes and drag queens should have all the mirror-ball fun?!

Black sparkling shoes for your noire wedding

My shoe posts almost always focus on shoes that are either A) loud, like I wear ’em or B) pale, like the majority of brides wear ’em. I almost never include shoes that are brown or black because sometimes they can feel too “daily wear” and not WEDDING-Y enough. I guess if I’mma go non-traditional, I opt toward my own candy-colored tastes, instead of the shoes that are just like my heart: black and sparkling.

So today, in honor of all brides goth, noire, and just a little bit dark-hearted, I’m going to focus on the glittery black pumps and flats.

Why prom shoes make great wedding footwear

We’ve talked about how prom dresses can make great wedding gowns, but what about prom SHOES? Like prom dresses, prom shoes are often at a lower price point than anything with the word “wedding” attached, and they also tend to be a bit more playful and sparkly than the more chic stuff targeted at brides.

But you know what? I like playful, sparkly, and inexpensive (and I know some of you do too) so let’s take a look at some prom shoes and sandals that could kick ass for your wedding day. We’ve got some rainbow sparkles, lots of bows, and even a couple pairs of flip-flops…

More loud shoes I love

Y’all know the routine by now. I like loud shoes — even the ones I could never afford or ever walk in. If you’re looking for understated this week, you’re not really going to find much here — this link might be better for you if you’re looking for classy.

Today’s collection of VERY LOUD SHOES includes probably a few too many Betsey Johnson and Iron Fist options, including this pair of leopard print shoes with a built-in heart, and some platforms that I really should have included in my skull shoes post a few weeks ago…
