I proposed to my fiance Simen on our anniversary, so I thought I’d share the story of how I did it with the most romantic part of Star Wars. I went on Etsy and I found a Star Wars fidget spinner ring. He likes Star Wars (though I had never watched any of it), and he fidgets a lot, so I thought it was pretty good. I asked my friend Benedikt JOKINGLY if there was a romantic moment in Star Wars.

Cosplayer Jazzmin Jolly and Eleventh Doctor Josh had a stellar time traveling through space and time (and New Jersey beaches!) for this Whovian shoot. There was an on-trend bouquet for the groom (on a budget, too– only $30 for all the flowers!), an envy-inducing TARDIS dress, and even a sneaky reference to the Doctor’s wife — hello sweetie!

Since Victor proposed in a redwood forest after we visited the Bigfoot Museum in Santa Cruz, we kept the cryptid creature theme going for our wedding. Our save-the-date paid homage to X-files, UFOs, and the elusive Sasquatch. Our quirky wedding suite reflects our love not only for Joshua Tree but for all things mythical and paranormal.
