A queer femme/transfeminine interfaith feminist celeGAYtion
It was important to both of us to represent both of our faith traditions, and to incorporate our vibrant, polyamorous, queer, trans communities as much as possible. My partner is a bearded, genderqueer, transfeminine person, and it was really important to us to be visible and proud about our relationship because so many people think that people like us can't (or don't deserve) to find love and happiness. Caleb rocked a gorgeous wine-colored wedding dress, while I went with a more traditional white gown, and we did our damndest to show the world that love like this will not be hidden.
A whimsical polyamorous wedding joining two families in awesomeness
“We have a polyamorous family. I have been married to Ben for 11 years, Audree has been married to Allan for 11 years, Allan and I are partners, and Ben and Audree are partners. The four of us live together with our children.” This wedding joined Katie and Audree together, which then bound them all together in love as one family. Let’s give a collective “AW” to this sweet family-focused polyamorous wedding.
A poly-friendly and non-possessive ceremony script (with three rings!)
If you are looking to shed some of the possessive wording that usually comes with standard marriage ceremonies, this poly-friendly and non-possessive ceremony script will give you some great inspiration. It’s non-gendered, non-monogamy-friendly, totally usable by LGBTQ couples and cishet couples alike, and sweet as hell. Plus, see how three rings came into play (and the Iron Ring symbolism for Canadian engineers!)
Offbeat Evening: Happy instagramming, happy 8th anniversary, and a call for poly weddings
Oh hi there. It’s me, Ariel! Your friendly publisher of Offbeat Bride. Good evening! I’m sure y’all are all snuggled onto your couches, tucked between Netflix and a loved one, second screening away… well, ME TOO! So, from my couch to yours, I wanted to share the things I saw online today that made me happy, just like this dancing guy. Why? Just because.
