The Arkenstone of weddings: a barefoot Hobbit-themed wedding
When it comes to Lord of the Rings weddings, this barefoot Hobbit-themed wedding wins all the Arkenstones. Lanterns, elven bridesmaids, a crown headpiece, hobbit groomsmen (and groom!), and even a dwarf! Gandalf the Grey presided over the ceremony and they ate Hobbit hole cake. There’s so much Tolkien goodness to see, on top of the already amazing silver dress, purple hair, and epic costumes. This pair won’t be throwing their rings into Mount Doom anytime soon.

It’s been one year since the SCOTUS decision that legalized same-sex marriage…
As the first anniversary of the SCOTUS decision that legalized same-sex marriage rolls around, we remember that the continued perseverance of these communities are making a difference. Is it still mind-blowingly slow and frustrating and hard? Hell yes. But as Lin Manuel Miranda so heart-wrenchingly uttered at The Tonys, “love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love cannot be killed or swept aside.” This anniversary, marked with the pain of the worst mass shooting in recent U.S. history (which targeted the LGBT and people of color communities), has to remind us to keep fighting. Let’s take a look back at some of our coverage of the various legal decisions and a few of our own favorite LGBT weddings we’ve featured.
This theatrical Halloween wedding slays with its dark glamour
Monique and Danika worked with some of California’s most skilled designers to create this masterpiece of a theatrical Halloween wedding. From the headdress to the table decor, the skulls and skeletons of creatures adorned everything. Danika’s custom dress was handmade by the killer [heart link="http://vendors.offbeatwed.com/listing/dark-garden-unique-corsetry"]Dark Garden Unique Corsetry[/heart] and is a work of art. Every guest showed up in elaborate costumes to watch the spectacular burlesque show. It’s time to see the whole thing in all its glory.
