A movies and food truck wedding that fills our flowers and pastel-loving hearts
This is one gorgeously rustic wedding between a filmmaker and photographer who love all things film, food trucks, and pastel colors. With lawn games, touching speeches, and a flowery vintage feel, Mary and Jeremy absolutely captured our hearts with this New Hampshire wedding. The apple orchard venue, Sunset Hill Orchard, was one hell of a backdrop, too. Don’t miss the killer cupcake display and gold-toned movie-themed centerpieces, too!
How to get a wedding photography discount for just being YOU
They say that things that sound too good to be true, usually are. But this is Offbeat Bride, where we do away with “the usual.” In the case of our sponsor Justine Johnson, her deals are just as good as they sound… You either have the chance to have a completely free, completely amazing wedding photographer, just for being your completely awesome selves. Just for being you doing “you.”
Here’s how you can get Justine to shoot your wedding for either free, or deeply discounted…
Keeping it dreamy at the drive-in at Zara & Stefan’s wedding
A fabulous and glittery pink dress, a drive-in playing Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, tons of free popcorn and candy, and an amazing live jam session of lots of musical friends — are you in yet?! If not, get ready to be taken in by the dreamy, post-rain field photos and wild and woolly dance shots.
Elizabeth & James’ woodland Victorian fantasy wedding
Just wait until you see this bride’s custom-made blue/grey fantasy-inspired dress. It’s the icing on the cake that is this Pagan meets garden wedding in New Hampshire. But the best parts are definitely in the dancing. Get ready for some “Time Warp” shenanigans and “Fly Me to the Moon” romance.
Offbeat Bride interview about unplugged weddings on New Hampshire Public Radio
I first wrote about unplugged weddings way back in 2011, with a two-post series. The posts went crazy viral and in the three years since then, the idea has picked up major steam. The Huffington Post noticing the trend in 2012, and New York Times picking up on the concept in 2013. I’m happy to say that the concept is now popular enough that it’s no longer seen as “offbeat” in any way.
Jen & Nick’s Warcraft and weaponry wedding
Pick a side: Horde or Alliance for this geektastic World of Warcraft, LEGO, and crafted weapons (worthy of the best cosplay) wedding. Instead of a sweetheart table, a loot table… instead of traditional table numbers, raid bosses. Pick your weapon, regen your mana, and get ready to raid at this wedding worthy of the word “WoW.”
