Be swept away by this nature-loving secret elopement in Annapolis
For us this day was a LONG time in the making. Rob and I have had a crazy, fun, and caring relationship from the very beginning and of course our wedding had those same traits. With both of us having chronic/incurable diseases, it has helped put a focus on living in the moment and loving each other with that same intensity. Every day being a battle with our bodies and what could come, we knew that we wanted to be in each other’s lives for good, so why not just make it official?
Don’t miss the faux hawk at this ultra beautiful DIYed wedding
Ria and Will are both tax lawyers so their wedding day was infused with lawyer jokes, beginning with their hashtag, #filingjointly. Ria also has a daring but soft side, so her hair was swept up in an amazing faux-hawk. She finished the look with her signature hot pink lipstick and vintage jewelry.
Ria went wild with DIY including the cake (a spice cake with cream cheese icing!), handcrafted invitations, dried floral bouquets, and amazing centerpieces. She painted every wooden flower and picked every vintage tea cup for the tables. It was an event full of love, humor, and tons of artistry.
This art museum wedding was a celebration of outsider art, craftiness, and veggie comfort food
Taylor and Jade chose the American Visionary Art Museum as their venue because it’s a space they personally love, and they appreciate that it features outsider art. And of course, throughout the celebration, guests could wander the museum and look at the art. Bonus for art lovers! To up the craftiness game, Jade sewed her entire wedding outfit! Their decor was also heavily DIYed and included succulents and sprigs of Eucalyptus.
For favors, they gave out prints of a film photograph Taylor had taken at one of their favorite spots. This wedding just screams sincerity and we can’t get enough of it…
Captain America & Peggy Carter: an iconic Marvel comics engagement shoot
Have you all seen Avengers: Infinity War yet?! If you’re still waiting, here’s a little treat to tide you over…
After seven years of dating, Sean proposed to Jess while on an Alaskan Cruise with both of their families. While planning their engagement shoot, they wanted something out of the box that celebrated one of their many fandoms (they love Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and all things Marvel!). Years ago, Sean had gifted his bride-to-be with Marvel’s Peggy Carter’s signature red fedora. That iconic hat acted as the inspiration for this Marvel comics engagement shoot.
