Elisa and Nathan celebrated their meaningful wedding in Italy with readings by witnesses, sharing promises, exchanging rings, and a wine ceremony. After the ceremony, they walked through the streets of the ancient city of Ascoli Piceno, where they took a few pictures in the famous cafe Meletti and the Capitani Palace in Piazza del Popolo, one of the most beautiful Italian squares. Get ready for this Gothic Midsummer Night’s Dream wedding in a forest
If I had to put a label on it, I would call our wedding a "Gothic Midsummer Night's Dream." We made sure to include a ton of natural and rustic elements like crystals, logs, animal bones, and balanced those raw materials with dark elegant pieces to get that "we just magically threw together a fancy party in the woods" vibe. A Renaissance fantasy Christmas wedding (aka “A Lord of the Rings Christmas Special!”)
When people asked about our wedding, we joked that the theme was, "Lord of the Rings Christmas Special." Shane is a huge Tolkein nerd, and we both love Renaissance faires and fantasy. Our wedding was in December, his favorite color is red, and mine is green, so throwing Christmas in just made sense. It came together beautifully.
