Nick’s parents celebrated their wedding with rain, and it was so fitting for this Lord of the Rings loving couple to have drizzly, moody photos to match their ethereal, woodsy aesthetic.
A cozy & cosmic New Jersey wedding by the sea
It made sense for us to have a seaside New Jersey wedding at The Grenville Hotel! Our wedding was an ode to the beach, the stars, and cosmic joy. In lieu of anything religious, much of the energy at the wedding was sheer gratitude for existence. Since we both love astronomy and the vastness of the cosmos, we wanted our wedding to have an ethereal, contemplative quality.
A Leap Day atheist wedding with board games
It’s like we were meant too have a Leap Day atheist wedding! We were a 99% match on a dating app and have been lucky in love ever since. When selecting a date we saw that 2/29/20 was a Saturday and knew that was the right date for us to take the Leap! We decided on a game night theme, as it’s our favorite activity that we share with family and friends.
The Seven Blessings: an inspired, personal version for a Jewish wedding
My having a Jewish background and my husband having a German background, we wanted to incorporate both cultures into the ceremony in a meaningful way. I rewrote the Seven Blessings to reflect our secular view of the world, with our family members reciting each one!
