We wanted to honor and connect to the outdoors as much as possible. I was barefoot for the entire ceremony and reception (so was my mother and many of our friends! Husband could not be since he had to smash a glass). We had a fairly traditional Jewish ceremony.
The theme was a Jewish wedding with a Middle Earth and Star Wars twist. Costumes, lightsabers, swords, dancing, and giant turkey legs made the celebration go wild. But it was the meaning and intent that brought everyone to years.
Emily and Ron decided to guac down the aisle to the accompaniment of all their favorite things and people, at their fave Tex-Mex restaurant.

Emily made the escort cards herself (paper flowers!) and other fun touches included a candy buffet with their favorite treats and the cake topper (wedding versions of their favorite Mario Kart characters!).
Rebecca and Oren are super music lovers, so when they were planning their Sonoma wedding, adding musical elements was a no-brainer. Here’s more from the bride on how it all came to be…
