Anne Boleyn weds Freddy Krueger: When a Halloween costume wedding wins over every horror fan
We wanted potential guests to know what they were getting into right away and used our invitations to set the tone. They had a photo of us as bride and groom zombies and included a “Costumes Required” section. We had a basket of masks available at the ceremony in case people didn’t take the invitation seriously but our guests outdid themselves. Every single person got behind our theme and showed up in an amazing costume. Despite the instructions to our guests many thought we were going to wear “normal” bride and groom attire. We proved them wrong and got married in our dream Halloween costumes. Anne Boleyn weds Freddy Krueger? Why not?!
Give your guests the heebie-jeebies with a severed finger save-the-date
Using only a few craft items (mold rubber, a paper cup, some quick-drying plaster, ink, boxes, and some moss), you can trip out your Halloween wedding guests with a faux severed finger inviting them to your spooktastic wedding. If you’ve got a little time on your hands and the bollocks to wig a few folks out (most guests will surely love it!), this is the Halloween save-the-date for you.
A Friday the 13th barn wedding with coffee, skulls, and floral prints
This wedding combines so many disparate things into one cohesive blend of awesomeness. It’s a Friday the 13th barn wedding featuring a gorgeous rose-printed skirt, lots of creepy and elegant skull decor (for Friday the 13th, natch!), Jason masks, a Nightmare Before Christmas cake topper, pop culture Mad Libs, and a lovely outdoor ceremony. Don’t miss the killer coffee truck with accompanying lovey-dovey latte art!
