We had already had our elopement last year, so we wanted this post-elopement party to be a simple but nerdy event to celebrate with some of our friends and family.
A handmade Victorian picnic wedding in the mountains (with the most gorgeous rain & mist photos!)
We had a small wedding with only 20 guests, but because it was small, we were able to have all guests participate in the all-white/beige Victorian theme. Most everything was handmade and sourced by us including hand-drawn and printed wooden invitations, bridal party gifts, individually selected vintage tea plates and cutlery, crystal coupe glasses, embroidered napkins, and all decorations.
This groom MADE his bride’s surprise wedding dress
Adam, an art teacher and puppeteer, handmade his bride Maria’s dress for her as a surprise, an impossible feat for most of us, let alone with such SKILL. We were blown away by the fab sleeves and high-low design. We were able to snag a little more information about it plus a behind-the-scenes look at the process just 15 days before the wedding. Bonus? She didn’t even get to see the dress until noon on the day of the wedding. Wut. Let’s take a peek at how it all went down…

I basically told the gals at RMINE that I wanted a dress that “looked like a unicorn sneezed on it.” And they whipped out their paint brushes, and worked into the night, until the store smelled of fresh paint and their floors looked like a unicorn had been slaughtered on them. And they gave me this beauty!
