Gears, skulls, and bikes: Odd Lot Weddings has your wedding invitations
I’m excited about our newest sponsor Odd Lot Weddings because these invites hit the mark with so many of y’alls favorite things. Julie, the designer and owner of Odd Lot Weddings, creates awesome wedding invites specializing in Day of the Dead, rockabilly, goth, and steampunk aesthetics. But if any of those styles don’t resonate with you, she also offers custom design services… and she’s got work-arounds for the budget-minded.
A colorful gothically delicious wedding in Newfoundland
Are you up for an elegant industrial goth fix? Today is your day. Ashley and Paddy ooze delicious and colorful gothic energy in their ’til death do us part-themed wedding in Newfoundland. We got to see how these style mavens put it all together: think bright dreads + mohawk, black Utilikilts, combat boots, and even some little peacock feather accents, all layered on a purple and blue backdrop.
Anna & Russell’s scientific gothic humanist wedding
A rockin’ red dress, a stack of chocolatey brownies, and a museum celebrating all things science? Check, check, double check! The Humanist ceremony upstairs in a library full of scientific texts, the reception downstairs among funky science installations, and a giant statue of a favorite scientist for photos ops round out this wedding’s fabulous setting. Read on for more… for SCIENCE!
Patty & Will’s spooktacularly elegant wedding
This couple embraced their wedding date (October 13th) with bad-luck-turned-good details, gothic and spooky elements, and an homage to their black cat. It was small in size and large on gorgeous details and personal touches. They may not have been able to get a vintage hearse to cart them around town, but the red and black ’59 Chevy was an even better solution!

Heather & Ian’s goth with a splash of purple wedding
Purple gown, purple tie, purple button bouquets… the splashes of color in this goth wedding are fabulous. You’re also going to love the sneaky science bits — the bride’s necklace, the groom’s boutonniere — and the seating chart will make you positively bug out! Plus, there’s a photo of the newlyweds in a winding staircase that you have to see to believe.
