This Labyrinth wedding of two ladies is already a cult classic with us
Emma and Rebecca’s Labyrinth wedding took place in Mesnes Park in Wigan, UK. From the music (Magic Dance!) to the costumes (just wait until you see the goblins and fireys and Bowie makeup) to the amazing worm cake (come inside and meet the missus!), this was an homage to the cult classic the likes of which we have never seen.

I know I’ve said I’ve seen it all when it comes to Harry Potter-themed weddings, but this one REALLY kicks some ass when it comes to amazing and magical Harry Potter details. They had class tables for Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Care of Magical Creatures, Astronomy, History of Magic, Divination, and Quidditch, AND house tables. There were even floating candles in a room that was literally called “The Great Hall.” Grab yourself a drink called “Alas, Earwax” and come see all the stunning details…
The Arkenstone of weddings: a barefoot Hobbit-themed wedding
When it comes to Lord of the Rings weddings, this barefoot Hobbit-themed wedding wins all the Arkenstones. Lanterns, elven bridesmaids, a crown headpiece, hobbit groomsmen (and groom!), and even a dwarf! Gandalf the Grey presided over the ceremony and they ate Hobbit hole cake. There’s so much Tolkien goodness to see, on top of the already amazing silver dress, purple hair, and epic costumes. This pair won’t be throwing their rings into Mount Doom anytime soon.
And now for something completely different: a Monty Python save-the-date!
Amsterdam couple Janaina and Coen had always admired vintage-style invitations (as do we!). They tapped into the talented Tara Flanagan to create a most fantastic save-the-date that channeled vintage illustration and Monty Python. It’s unusual, whimsical, and we can’t stop looking at the details. We’ll get more from their wedding later on, but we couldn’t wait to share this Monty Python save-the-date and all its vintage-style details right now.

Avengers assemble for a comic books meet Doctor Who wedding with a “reveal cake”
Aja and Brian’s comic books meet Doctor Who wedding was an awesome blend of elegance and geekiness. With the backdrop of The Atrium at the Curtis Center in Philly and the TARDIS and superhero details, it fit this fab and geeky pair perfectly.
You’ll dig the card box that Brian and his dad built to look like the TARDIS and comic book character USB favors. Oh, and don’t miss their surprise “reveal cake” that was all business in the front and party in the back.
