A Midsummer night’s dream meets Alice in Wonderland fantasy wedding
I decided early on I wanted to be a mystical fairy goddess for the wedding. We are both nerds, so there were many "easter eggs" hidden in parts of our wedding for people to find, from "game over" music at the end of the night to messages hidden in binary code on our save-the-dates. We are both feminists, so it was also very important to leave behind the more traditional, patriarchal, gender-specific parts of American weddings. Don’t miss the flower crowns on BOTH of them!
Adventure & glory await at this Medieval Times wedding in California
Two years after their elopement, Emily and Travis decided to have a second celebration that really fit their personalities. So it was all about the fantasy at Medieval Times! They had a beautiful ceremony followed by eating chicken with their hands, cheering on the green knight (who won and gave his sash to the bride!), a Last Supper-esque recreation photo, and an arena full of Medieval fun times.
Costumes, masks, & mystery at this enchanted forest wedding in Ohio
Genevieve and Benjamin were married at Polen Farm in Kettering, Ohio. Genevieve had a vision of an enchanted forest wedding with a costume masquerade reception. Swoon! Genevieve had her bridesmaids dress in light colors and called them her “Easter peeps.” I think you can tell this was way funnier and more whimsical than your usual wedding.
