A woodland fairy wedding theme inspired by Lord of the Rings
Rachel and Nick’s woodland fairy wedding at The Maples Estate was blessed with a drizzly day that was just what the couple called for. Nick’s parents celebrated their wedding with rain, and it was so fitting for this Lord of the Rings loving couple to have drizzly, moody photos to match their ethereal, woodsy aesthetic.

We had what ended up being a disaster of a camping wedding. So we resolved to do it again someday. That day was our 10 year anniversary. For round two of the camping wedding, we rented out a campsite and I wore a green wedding dress to fit our fey (fairy) theme.
This costume wedding is full of nerds and joy
We met on the battlefield at a LARP (Live Action Role Play) event. So we knew we were going to do something strange when we got to planning our wedding. Our inspiration was a fantastical nexus of realms – where royalty, rogues, mages, merfolk, extraterrestrial beings gathered to witness the joining of our kingdoms.
So much magic at this butterfly themed wedding in a sculpture garden
Liz and Steven planned a fairy and butterfly themed wedding at the Umlauf Sculpture Garden & Museum in Austin, Texas. Liz’s late mother was known as “the butterfly lady,” so when the pair did a butterfly release after their ceremony, it had a lot of meaning. This was especially so when Liz was covered in the butterflies all over her dress. The symbolism is so sweet.
