A cerulean hillside paradise wedding in Slovenia
Now that is some scenery. Ivana and Drejc’s Slovenian wedding in the countryside makes me want to run singing about the hills being alive with music. The scenery seriously has me gob-smacked. And Ivana’s ocean blue ballerina-style dress adds just the right amount of fluffy whimsy. Candles lit up Ivana’s and Drejc’s childhood photos and a huge bonfire lit the dance party afterwards. We are so psyched to have our first Slovenian wedding on the site.
Eva & Radek’s diet-friendly Czech wedding by a cave
Traditional Czech weddings usually take place somewhere indoors, but this couple couldn’t imagine a ceremony that was not in the open air. So they chose a gorgeous cave location and matched their DIY decor with mossy centerpieces and green details. They also tackled the challenge of accommodating lots of different diets including gluten-free, lactose-free, and diabetic foods. There was a ceremony near-disaster, but it ended up working out just fine.
Urszula & Peter’s crazy metal party wedding
Urzula & Peter threw Polish tradition (and superstition) to the wind and totally rocked their wedding! Keep an eye out for the random, (hopefully) fake strangulations.
Emma & Ted’s vodka-soaked, playful wedding celebration
In honor of Russian New Year’s (the week between New Year’s and Orthodox Christmas), we’re having an Eastern European (aka Russian) theme week! Day 5 of Eastern European week brings us Emma & Ted’s three day long wedding. The wedding featured lots of vodka as a nod to the groom’s Russian heritage. -Becca
