Sophie & Liam’s low-key budget geek chic wedding
These two know the value of a little leg work in getting a deal for a budget wedding. And when you’re trying to keep family, friends, and especially vegetarians fed and happy, it’s no mean feat. But thankfully, they found a restaurant willing to make a deal and crafted a small wedding with emphasis on being together and sharing in the day. It’s just one of those awesome weddings we are loving for simple weddings week.
A Gorn groom, Super Freak dancing, and a Bender card box
Everyone in the Offbeat Flickr pool pulled out their crazy hats with dancing, masks, funky socks, carrying each other around, and general mayhem. It was ultra fun this week for geeks, nerdfighters, and Futurama fans. Check out the full moon madness in this week’s Monday Montage.
Adele & John’s anachronistic Victorian World’s Fair wedding
When the first dance is actually a Rock Band duet, you know you’re in for a treat. These two found a way to combine Neo-Victorian style with all of their “interests, obsessions, and pretensions” and have it all somehow make sense. The centerpieces don’t bite (I think), so come on in and explore.
Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and a burrito walk into a bar…
I geeked out on the Offbeat Flickr Pool entries this week. It was like you guys exploded with Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Lego, and Renaissance amazingness. Moar nerds FTW in this week’s Monday Montage!
Nerdy props for your wedding photobooth (plus other supplies from ThinkGeek)
So you’re doing a DIY photobooth, and you’re thinking to yourself, “Self, I might need some props.” And your self replies, “Maybe, but you don’t need wooden mustaches. No, what you really need are some NERDY props.” Then you and yourself high five and are like OMG YES TOTALLY, and then you start brainstorming.
A surprise Doctor Who-themed card box!
The world needs more awesome friends like Vicki, who made her buddy a Doctor Who-themed card box as a surprise! (Hint: it’s bigger on the inside!)
