Largely because I grew up in the south, I feel almost as much like it’s as expected of me to have monogrammed, or personalized napkins as it is for me to change my names. I’m doing neither. Besides, what’s the deal with monogrammed stuff and newlywed folks, anyway? Then I realized… it’s all re-branding!

We are firm believers that event decor is mostly about creating little experiences for guests. When it comes to weddings, what’s the emotion you most want your guests to experience? Well, it’s LOVE, of course… and love makes us feel like making out. That in mind, we absolutely adore this little “Makeout Nook” that Tribesmaid Steik created for her guests. What a great way to carve out a little loving space!
Line your aisle with big ol’ balloons
Tribesmaid Kimberhill recently showed off some teaser pics of her fabulous wedding, and I immediately thought, “OMG! I love that balloon aisle!” What a simple way to add a pop of color while bringing the happy in the only way that big red balloons can.
Make a “huzzah!” banner for your wedding
Amber and Marshall had a fabulous Renaissance-themed wedding. So seriously fabulous that I hope we get to feature them in a bride profile soon. But one of my favorite details that they added to our Offbeat Bride Flickr pool is their “huzzah” banner.
