Batman married the Joker at this Marvel meets DC wedding

Batman married the Joker at this Marvel meets DC wedding

It was a comic book themed wedding in which Batman married the Joker at Villa Antonia. I was the Joker, draped in a purple, detachable train wedding gown that I designed and had made. The gown was accessorized by a top hat veil. The groom was Batman, the best man was Superman, and the maid of honor was Catwoman. The other groomsmen where the Green Lantern, Iron Man, Captain America, The Riddler, and Deadpool. The bridesmaids were Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, The Flash, and Storm.

Costumes, masks, & mystery at this enchanted forest wedding in Ohio

Genevieve and Benjamin were married at Polen Farm in Kettering, Ohio. Genevieve had a vision of an enchanted forest wedding with a costume masquerade reception. Swoon! Genevieve had her bridesmaids dress in light colors and called them her “Easter peeps.” I think you can tell this was way funnier and more whimsical than your usual wedding.

A fantastical villainous Candyland sideshow music fest wedding

My husband and I live in and run a House Of Oddities Museum in Pittsburgh called Trundle Manor. We’re used to being surrounded by vintage taxidermy, dead things floating in jars, coffins, and our own art, so the wedding had to be grand enough and weird enough to suit us.

Our wedding cake was a zombified Marie Antoinette head festooned with feathers and candy! It sat alongside our faux wedding cake topped with the taxidermied squirrels we made on our first date in the basement.

This Guillermo del Toro-approved wedding costuming brings enchantment to your wedding outfits

This Guillermo del Toro-approved wedding costuming is seriously enchanting

I’ve been eagerly awaiting getting to talk about Silver Leaf Costumes. Y’all know I LOVE me some Renaissance and historical garb, especially when it comes to weddings. And costume weddings are always our jam. But not all corsetry and historical wear is up to wedding standards. Thankfully, designer Laura Elliot makes ultra high quality look easy. And it will make you look EPIC…
