You can make your own carnival midway-style illuminated letters
Who knows where my love of midway illuminated lettering comes from, but it’s definitely fed by my addiction to Disneyland. More specifically, the part of the park called “Main Street, USA,” which consists of gift shops and ice cream parlors dressed up to look like an early 20th Century bustling downtown street on speed. Too shiny not to love. But I digress…
Typically an illuminated letter like this is made of metal, is very heavy and would cost you a pretty penny. I knew I wanted something to light up at my wedding, so I figured I’d make my own midway letters. You can too! And there are power tools involved!
Joyz & Yoichi’s surrealistic multicultural performance wedding
A troupe of body builders, stilt walkers in studded thongs, 75 dancers, in-character actors serving food, and eight bodyguards for the couple — yep, it happened. And it happened in Bali, in an amazing venue, despite seemingly insurmountable familial doubt. But hey, you want the performance of a lifetime, you do what you have to do to get it.
Step right up for a circus and carnival extravaganza
My usual Saturday consists of eating my weight in cotton candy and getting sick on the Gravitron. But to have that luxury while watching someone get hitched? That’s the high-life we’ve got going in this Monday Montage.
Misha & Tracey’s sustainable DIY barn-chic queer wedding
This couple manages to combine a lot of inspiration, some eco-DIY love, and a dose of tradition into a bitchin’ barn wedding. And after seeing the homemade treat table and a kale bouquet, it’s on like Donkey Kong.
