Sure, you can always find a nice bolero or lacy jacket to pair with your strapless dress to give the illusion of sleeves, but finding a gown with the sleeves already attached isn’t always the easiest task. I’ve found seven inexpensive options that are pretty sweet, including the saucy knee-length number above that’s just begging to be danced in.

So, in my crawls across the internet I came across the idea of “sponsored weddings” ie services that you either get discounted or free in exchange for promotions/advertisements at the wedding. On one hand, I think it’s tacky… on the other, I think it’s fabulous.

What are your thoughts on all of this?

Growing up in auctions, flea markets, and antique-dealing fathers definitely left it’s mark on these repurposing and recycling kids. Like they say, “old trumps new every time!” So an old-fashioned, rural retro wedding was totally in order. We wanted someone objective who would help execute our plan, and we wanted our families to have a great time and not to have to worry about anything. We ended up doing a trade with our friends, who were getting married a month after us. They coordinated our wedding day, and we coordinated theirs. It worked incredibly well. “
