How to make semi-kanzashi-style fabric flowers (part 1)
I’m looking to make my bouquet for my wedding myself, and so I’ve been brainstorming ideas on how best to put together fabric flowers for this purpose. This tutorial is based on some flowers that I started making a few years ago — the folding technique is Japanese (Tsunami Kanzashi).
Monday Montage: lovely ladies, staggering steampunks, gorgeous goths and dazzling dancers
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I wanted to repeat what Ariel said. I am also incredibly thankful for all of you and for the hours of joy and LOLs that all of your wedding photos provide me. Give yourself a high-five, because you rock! Anyway, getting back to business, this week’s Monday Montage starts off with a bang (pun intended ;)). It also has some impressive lookin’ ladies, a little steam-punk, a little goth, a few umbrellas and some good old fashioned boogie time.
Monday Montage: Purples, pinks and sprinkles of green
In case you’re new around here, every Monday I browse the Offbeat Bride Flickr pool and share my favorite photos with y’all. This week’s theme includes lots of pinks, purples and even a little bit of green. I should also mention that there is a light saber, a purple owl cake, some gorgeous spring dresses and lots of kick ass wedding parties. Don’t forget, you can always click on a photo to see more.
