A splashtastic casual canoe wedding
Why get married near water when you can get married ON water? Karen and Joe met at an outrigger canoe race, and planned to celebrate their nuptials in the most appropriate way: ON CANOES! They first rowed out in separate canoes and lined up for the vows. Then it was a big dunk and a smooch to seal the deal! Snow cones, candy centerpieces, and waterfront shenanigans were had for the rest of the day.
Shkehlaht Belit & Ahe’s sustainable wholistic sacred union ceremony
Looking for inspiration for your vegan wedding? Sustainable wedding, wholistic wedding? This wedding will blow your mind. With the whole family clad in handmade tie-dyed garments, no vendors, and completely DIYed decor, ceremony space, and food, this is one of those celebrations that they can totally own.
Gloria & Robert’s harmonious wedding of Korean-Canadian traditions
This is a culture clash we LOVE: Western-style table settings with origami cranes as decorations, the bride’s mother-in-law walking down the aisle in her dress alongside her mother in her traditional Korean hanbok, and a bar serving both Canadian beer and Korean soju liquor. We’ve also got two ceremonies (including a tea ceremony), two dresses, and two genres of food. We are twice as down for this wedding.
A golden sunset wedding in Malibu
Monique was a soon-to-be mama and, along with partner Deronn, planned this fabulous party in only three months! They chose The Sunset Restaurant in Malibu, which totally highlights the shoreline (where they decided to have the ceremony!) and naturally, the luminous sunset. Talk about the Golden Hour — more like the Golden Entire Evening!
