Have a movie love affair with this Disney concert hall wedding
Diana and Luke got married in L.A. and wanted to put a little Hollywood magic into their wedding. And trust me, the magic is happening with movie-themed tables, popcorn favors, and ticket stub place cards. It was held in one of those venues that you just can’t even take in all at once (the Frank Gehry-designed Walt Disney Concert Hall!). The acoustics must be out of control, right? Good thing they had Del Atkins to make full use of it with his jazz band.
Tattoos and lace meet for this movie theater wedding
The Silent Movie Theatre in Los Angeles served as the glamorous backdrop for this equally glamorous couple’s wedding. Bree and Stacey’s style combined tattoos, lace, a fabulous cocktail hat, and a shmancy tux. Their addition of a short film about their love totally fit with the theater setting, too.
An evening wedding with a spiral aisle and both Pagan and Native American traditions
Kate and Danyael had a gorgeous evening ceremony at the outdoor mausoleum at the Inglewood Park Cemetery, with guests seated in a spiral(!!). The rituals were a combination of Pagan and Shamanic traditions, owing to Kate’s observance of Wicca and Danyael’s Native American ancestry.
Dinosaur topiaries and punk rock shoes at this museum wedding
Devon and Faith had their wedding at the Los Angeles Natural History Museum, which meant lots of dinosaur and prehistoric details (including dino topiaries!). Faith wore an amazing black gown, sexy mesh booties, and birdcage veil. The ceremony was officiated by Devon’s father and was held in front of the museum’s dinosaur display. It also included an a capella version of Pixie’s “Velouria.”
Vanessa & Mando’s rose that took 13 years to bloom wedding
Wearing mom’s dress from the ’70s, bearing roses and the look of love, these two celebrated 13 years together by making it official. Add in classic cars, some DIY (program fans and caramel apples!), and a sweet rose theme, and this is an offbeat lite wedding that makes me squee.
A crazy hat-wearing, dance-partying, Zelda-themed wedding
Two party animals, a bajillion hats, a confetti canon, and lots of Zelda. I dares ya to say that doesn’t sound fun. Bill and Jenn know it to be fact, and partied the night away in an excellent concert venue with all of their nearest and dearest sporting hilarious headgear.
