Throwback style and sweet moments all over this vintage eclectic wedding

Amy and Camilla took their vintage style and ran with it by incorporating it in their killer outfits and placecards (vintage photos!). Their friend officiated in drag(!), they got shoe tattoos instead of exchanging rings, and also gave out temporary tattoos as favors. The venue was ideal for them with its eclectic style of antique frames, glassware, furniture, and the glow of tons of twinkle lights.

This laid-back two-bride wedding in Madison, Wisconsin got us right in the feels. We were able to snag the whole story from the brides, Lauren and Lauren(!), and it’s amazing. Think two special venues, lots of community support, sustainability, and loads of personal details. Basically, we set out to A) make our vows to one another legally official, and B) have a really, really fun party for all of our favorite people. Along the way, we came up with an "enchanted library" theme for the reception, to reflect our love of writing and reading.

Our wedding was rustic and relaxed. We are avid birders (in a really hip, appropriate-for-30-somethings kind of way), so we included small bird-related details wherever we could. We snuck feathers into our boutonnieres and centerpieces, our cake toppers were a sweet pair of lovebirds, our table "numbers" were antique-framed Sibley's bird postcards and each of us referenced our shared love for birding together in our vows.
