Camp Evermore: an ethereal autumnal wedding adventure
From our initial planning, we had two big goals: a FUN wedding that demonstrated that LOVE is Love. We're from the Midwest and queer weddings are not the norm for our families, but we knew we wanted to plan an experience that was memorable and also helped normalize the beauty of all love. These two goals guided every detail of our autumnal wedding adventure planning.
Should I be a nonbinary bridesmaid in my sister’s wedding?
My sister has asked me to a bridesmaid. I’m deeply estranged from the majority of my extended relatives. She’s turning this wedding into a family reunion (300+ guests). I thought I had enough to worry about with being nonbinary and potentially needing to deal with gender dysphoria on the day, but many of these relatives are horrendously bigoted as well. Part of me wants to say fuck it and be outrageously myself as a nonbinary bridesmaid… but my anxious self fears for my safety. I’m not out to everyone.Should I ask to be demoted from bridesmaid to “regular guest” status so I can have full choice over what I wear?
The powers of pink + purple combine! A Finnish couple gets wed in Spain
Meri and Eveliina are a Finnish couple who dreamt of a destination beach wedding in Spain surrounded by palm trees and nontraditional rules. Meri loves pink and and Eveliina digs purple, so their powers combined to make the sweetest, lighthearted palette ever. The macarons were GORGEOUS.
Just wait until you see their surprise dance with their six bridesmaids, too, and their DIY vodka bar!
These two shy partners rocked their vintage bibliophile Stardust wedding
I wanted my wedding to have a classic old Hollywood style. Since we are both bibliophiles who bonded over a love of the stars and Neil Gaiman, we picked Stardust as our inspiration. I was inspired by the images of paper moon photo booths, which fit perfectly with the vintage and astronomical themes that we wanted. I'm also a burlesque dancer who can't image a wedding without glitter.
