It’s Pride month! Let’s deck out your LGBTQ+ wedding with these rainbow wedding details [Updated for 2022!]
June is celebrated in most areas of the U.S. as Pride Month. While we love to celebrate LGBTQ+ weddings all year round, we especially like to give some special attention to Pride-themed weddings during the month of June. Also, we’re not into “rainbow washing” — where businesses make money from the LGBTQ community, but don’t give back… so we made a point to include queer-owned businesses and companies that donate a portion of their proceeds of Pride gear to charities.
Breweries, architecture, & canoodling at this engagement homage to Kansas City
Leslie and Cassidy both attended Rockhurst University in Kansas City but didn’t meet until years into their programs while both attending a mission trip in the Caribbean. They both love breweries and Kansas City, so even though they now live in St. Louis, they wanted to have their engagement session in the city close to their hearts. They canoodled and nuzzled their way through the beautiful Kauffman Center in Kansas City and we can’t get enough…
This intimate, queer state capitol wedding brought the perfect amount of rainbow magic
Megan and Bri met at a roller derby after party, spent the evening talking about My Little Pony, and everything just clicked from there. It was love. They love spending time together fishing, hiking, watching PBS, and playing games, or cuddling with their two kitties, Little and Georgia.
Their wedding was intimate, with just their two sets of parents, Bri’s sister, and Megan’s aunt, and was absolutely lovely. Megan’s dad bought a rainbow umbrella in case of rain, and while it wasn’t originally part of the plan, pretty much everyone in attendance had their picture taken with the umbrella, even their officiant, Judge Kloppenburg!

We had a Heroes and Villains themed wedding! It was a wedding filled with love and little bits from friends and family. We danced the night away and played games at every table. And in not-so-true villain fashion, I got the girl in the end!
Two brides in Wonderland with flamingoes, rainbows, & amazing street art
Jules and Katie got married in the urban district of Digibeth in Central Birmingham, England, and wanted to feature some of the amazing mural art that lives there. For the theme, it was all rainbows meets Alice in Wonderland with the most adorable little designs of themselves as the Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts. They were included on the cake toppers, biscuits, placecards, and more. It was ADORABLE. J
