Charlotte and Jeremiah somehow managed to pull off the following amazingness on a low budget. Brae Howard Photography captured the summery DIY moments in a lovely park in North Augusta, South Carolina.
Charlotte's lace shrug is the perfect accompaniment to her off-white, sheer, layer-y dress. And those shoe's were from Old Navy! Adorable and affordable.
Their hand-drawn, hand-scribed invitation has a gorgeous vintage feel. And everyone loves swans. It's a fact.
Look at these two. Jeremiah is owning that ultra light blue suit and dickie bow. Anyone in a bow tie gets major bonus points.
The men took their cue from the bride's shoes with their blue saddle action. And suspenders! And those chic little Rosemary boutonnières are fantastic. Definitely a good example of less is more.
These two eco-friendly, tea-loving cuties had a DIY-filled ceremony and reception in a church with a cupcake bar and a live music jam session. Family... Read more
Red and blue loveliness and more awesome beards!
A lot of their friends contributed to the day. Charlotte's brother and friend sang at the wedding and played banjo and accordion.
Could this be any simpler? There is no need to go nuts with flowers when you're surrounded by forest. I love the simple wildflowers behind them.
These Mason jar lids sported the same illustration as the hand-drawn invitations. And these were used for catching fireflies! Which, seriously, is the most fun thing I can remember from childhood.
Check out how many of the couple's close friends made their desserts and even the wedding cake. Plus they offered Southern peaches as favors. Yum!

OH! What a darling wedding! I just LOVE those wedding invitations. What a lovely way to make your wedding YOURS!
The firefly-catching idea is one of the best ideas ever.. Awesome!!
I think the boutonnières are actually Rosemary sprigs which is even COOLER than ferns. Beautiful wedding!
Her rings are perdy!
Two things I ? here, the guys shoes-friggen sweet, and the photographers work capturing it all. Stellar!
I think that’s rosemary, not ferns. If you ask me, that makes it even better. I love the idea of herbs as boutonnieres.
I think you guys are right. Corrected!
*Squee*!!! I live right down the street from this park!! It’s an awesome place. Congrats from a neighbor!
This is darling and in my home state! So perfect. Great ideas! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Thanks for sharing!
I love all of this. I watched the video, and the vows made teary… vowing to love each other as Christ loved the church. I want my wedding to feel like yours in all its joy and contentment. Best wishes for your marriage!
Truly lovely!
This wedding is so beautiful! I love every aspect of it. Congratulations, looks like you had a truly fantastic day 🙂
This is so lovely! I love the inclusion of forest and herbs, and the simplicity, and the blue.
Everything is lovely! I especially like the invitations. Where did you get them, or are they DIY?
they were DIY! I believe the bride made them herself. (i got to attend this wedding and it was beautiful.)
i miss fireflies!!! i’m from the midwest and they don’t exist in seattle. sigh…
I totally agree. I grew up in Kansas:) But atleast Seattle has seasons. I live in southern CA now – and that means none of the good stuff like snow and autumn leaves and FIREFLIES! I’m now officially moving my wedding to incorporate this huge part of my childhood.
Wow, what a gorgeous lace overlay on your dress! I love how the mock turtleneck looks. Sexy but understated!
This was really beautiful. I usually am a strict traditionalist when it comes to weddings, but this wedding seemed charming.
