This week I decided to mix it up and search our reader photo archives for a very special heart-themed edition to get us all in the mood for Valentine’s Day. And ooh boy did I hit the jackpot. Small and intimate weddings are often killer in that they let you focus on what and who really matters to you. This sweet and small wedding encapsulates that sentiment perfectly. They had a pre-wedding ring warming in their hometown in Texas and an eight-person ceremony and reception in San Francisco (which allowed the groom’s mom to officiate!).

Anneke and Michael’s wedding in Lüneburg, Germany had a traditional ceremony, a second outdoor ceremony, and a carnvial-esque costume-themed reception. The bride wore a dress handmade by one of her best friends. The first ceremony was held in a medieval watertower, and afterwards the pair bicycled to the outdoor reception where the second ceremony took place.
