Crystal and Kalem wanted the focus of their wedding to be on major FUN, so that called for Rock Band, board games, personalized crossword puzzles, Mad Libs, a rapper, drag kings, and burlesque. Add in a ring warming, a moment of silence/blessing during the ceremony, a handfasting, and an art gallery surprise from Kalem with loads of art, this rainbow wedding gave us reason to LIVE.
In lieu of a first dance, they had a first Rock Band song, and their six parental figures joined for a family performance.
One of our favorite parts was the glass clinking alternative: a Kiss for the Cure bell. Here's Crystal's explanation:
Guests would donate money for the Canadian Diabetes Association, then ring a cowbell in order to see a kiss. Someone really liked ringing that bell when Kalem was in the washroom!
Let's see this games and color mashup wedding in all its glory…
