Natasha and Isaac spent the most gorgeous day waltzing around Paris, dancing in front of the Eiffel Tower, and seeing the sights all while looking fabulous and in love. It's a dream engagement session that had us swooning. Her dresses, his chic looks… it was a dream.
Here's more from the couple on how it all came to be…
We met in 2012 in our hometown, Tacoma, WA. We met through mutual friends, we call went out to a nightclub and Isaac and I danced together. I was laughing at his crazy dance moves, but he thought I was smiling because I was into his dancing so he asked for my phone number. We dated off and on for two years and then in 2014 I returned home from a three-month backpacking trip. We had breakfast together on his birthday and we've been together ever since.
He proposed in February 2017 at a family dinner. He surprised me with a box of macarons (my favorite cookie) that spelled out “will you marry me?” He had planned the whole thing with my family and they had helped him pick out the cookies and draw on them that afternoon.
We came to Paris because Isaac was visiting to take a course, and I love Paris, so I decided to join him. We had both been before but this was our first time coming with a partner and getting to experience the romantic side of Paris. One of the things we share is our love of food and we had lots of amazing meals while we were there.
Isaac learned how to ride a bike earlier this year for the first time. He learned because he knew that I wanted to ride bikes together through the city. He actually bought a bike and started practicing every afternoon so he could be ready to bike with me for our trip, it was super sweet and thoughtful. So the afternoon we spent biking around the city was definitely a highlight.
We weren't planning on having a big wedding, just a small ceremony with family at home so our shoot with Pierre was our way to capture this moment in our lives. My mom helped make the white outfit I wore and I chose the yellow dress because it's my favorite color (and also matches my ring, a canary yellow diamond). Isaac actually chose his blue blazer after looking through our photographer Pierre's Instagram — he thought the men in blue looked sharp so he spent a couple weeks looking for the perfect shade of blue.
