Lia and Jeremy started out as a long-distance couple, with Lia in Milwaukee and Jeremy in Chicago, so it was only fitting that Jeremy proposed to Lia in their at one of their favorite coffee shops in Milwaukee.
They decided on a laid-back BBQ-style wedding in Madison, with a twist: Lia, whose mom is Chinese, wanted to surprise her with an outfit change into a traditional Chinese gown at the reception, and the results were stunning. Her mom was super surprised, and Lia looked amazing in both her traditional Western dress AND her traditional Chinese gown.

Yep definitely Madison!
D’oh. FIXED! Thank you both so much for flagging the error.
Actually, even though we got married in Madison, the story about where we started dating and got engaged was in Milwaukee! -Lia 😉
Ok so the proposal was in Milwaukee, but then the wedding itself was in Madison… I think I got Catherine’s text all fixed up to reflect the situation accurately? Sorry for all the confusion!
No problem at all! Thanks for featuring us 🙂
