If you're half as excited about the final season of Game of Thrones as I am, you're probably peeing yourself. If you watched last night's season eight premiere, you'll be all ready to deep dive into the gorgeousness of this Game of Thrones wedding inspiration that seriously channels some of our favorite characters.
Here's the scoop on this shoot from photographer Allie Dearie…
This Game of Thrones-inspired shoot took place at the Hammond Castle Museum on the coast in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Due to a power outage caused by a snowstorm the night before, everything inside was lit by candlelight! The snow on the castle created an amazing backdrop for this styled wedding — “Winter is Coming” has never been more real!
Our Daenerys model, Hailey, was incredibly beautiful in her gown by L'elite Boston. Her amazing bridal hairstyle looked just like Emilia Clarke's, complete with braids by Callie Hefferan. Alexe, our model for Jon Snow, had the brooding winter vibes down perfectly. And they were joined by Sophie, a Great Dane who made a perfect Ghost inspired royal companion. Of course, no Game of Thrones-inspired wedding would be complete without a Sansa Stark bridesmaid and Jaime Lannister groomsman.
One stunning detail is the glass dragon's egg created by Lee Gordon. The cake by Sweet Cheeks by Renee also featured edible dragon's egg crystals, with matching sugar cookies. The bride's bouquet included real quail feathers and heirloom roses. The beautiful table spread, decorated by We Tie The Knots, was fit for royalty. FXA Calligraphy painted a gorgeous House Stark banner that hung in the grand fireplace, illuminated by candles.
The snowy castle grounds felt like we were truly at Winterfell, while inside the courtyard filled with ferns and palm trees was a Dorne-like escape. And the moody dining room and grand hall were of course a nod to the Red Keep in King's Landing
