I heard a very silly tale that turned out to be pretty damned romantic that I just had to share. Alyssa saw a hilarious boudoir (or as her partner Steve describes it, “dudoir”) Christmas card, that piqued her interest. This led to a new relationship, new tradition of creative Christmas cards, and an eventual proposal.
(While we understand the concerns with the phrase “dudoir”, this is how the couple described it upon submitting it to us. We're choosing to let them use this word to describe their unique photoshoot.)
Here's the whole tale from Alyssa herself…
Steve was a bachelor who did a hilarious solo “dudoir” Christmas cards each year (see above!) while others around him sent out cards with babies and puppies. His sole reason was to make his friends and family laugh, but he received a lot more than that.
Alyssa was at a friend's house and saw Steve's 2015 card on her fridge. She had to meet the man behind the creativity, and after a couple months Steve invited Alyssa into the tradition for the last two years.
This Christmas is the third year, and the theme is…”Christmas 2018 has a nice ring to it.” That's right, Steve proposed the day before the Christmas Card shoot! The chance spotting of Steve's Christmas card on a friends fridge has developed into wedding bells.
D'awww. Sweetest, goofiest couple ever. Here's the original card and their latest card which was post-engagement…

Thanks for sharing this with us, Alyssa!

This is my new favourite thing.
