A thousand years ago, okay more like three years ago, Ariel put out a post called “Non floral centerpieces.” Well, in Offbeat Bride years, three years is a looooong time because we’ve been inundated with so many more amazing alternatives to floral centerpieces since then. So here is our non-floral centerpieces post version 2.0.

OMGWTFLUFF! This year, Offbeat Bride reader Onyah entered a diorama inspired by the TV show Say Yes to the Dress. Washington Post announced the winners and Onyah was not one of them, but she’s a total winner on OBB!
Skip the tablecloths – wacky wedding placemats for the win!
The idea of spending money on tablecloths that are guaranteed to be stained with bbq sauce (to the tune of 120 bucks) made me angry and frustrated. How would I wash them? How could I throw them away? I didn’t personally feel good about plastic ones in part because the way the plastic sounds — when it rubs against itself it’s like fingernails on the chalkboard to me (heebiejeebies).
So, after a festive jaunt to a local fast-food place, I had an epiphany.
