Emily & Kyle’s autumnal handcrafted wedding
I love when crafty folks work their magic on the wedding — handmade jewelry and rings, lino-block printed invitations, handmade bridesmaid dresses… we boggle at the talent! And in this case, it allowed them to have more guests with a smaller budget. Plus, you don’t want to miss how flippin’ gorgeous these two are with their ink and vintage-styled fashion! I suspect many staff cat-fights over who gets to be in the sandwich with these two.
Megan & Jeremiah’s video games in a barn wedding
When we feature weddings with barns AND tentacle content in one week, it can only mean it’s BARN–ACLE WEEK. Today we’ve got a video game-loving couple with butt-grabbing vows… and just wait until you see what they used to cut the cake!
Casey & Troy’s DIY duct tape, Hello Kitty, and LEGO wedding
When we feature weddings with barns AND tentacle content in one week, it can only mean it’s BARN–ACLE WEEK! Today we’ve got a Hello Kitty-meets-LEGO wedding with some cute-as-hell barn shots. Oh, and wait until you see how they incorporated the bride’s daugter into the processional and the vows!
Robin & Ken’s retro pin-ups and greasers rockabilly wedding
This pair of rockabillies wanted to go all-out with retro style: record place settings, cake centerpieces with tattoo designs, pin-up and greaser stations (for timely coifs!), and a killer band. You have to see what the groom did at the reception to surprise the bride. Let’s just say it involves Elvis. Oh, and I think the groom’s “cake” will appeal to some of you.
Andrea & Steve’s laid-back Mario-themed budget wedding
Old skool Nintendo details abound in this bright and happy state park wedding. We’ve got a handmade Mario brick block card box, a Mario and Peach cake with baby mushroom cupcakes all around, and cactus favors which fit right into the theme. But it wasn’t all just gamer hijinks: sweet vows and a super meaningful ring made it all very romantic. Oh, and you’ll LOVE this pair’s unity ceremony!
Nicole & Kyle’s punk rock and skulls wedding
These two heard a lot of ideas about what people thought their punk-themed wedding would be like… but they were all wrong. This shindig had all the awesome trappings of a punk-loving party: awesome bands (including one who shifted into an ’80s hair band!), The Misfits playing during the ceremony, and colorful skulls everywhere. But with a gorgeous and floofy pink gown and a classy venue, this was a total traditional-meets-punk mashup.
