A Star Wars Sand Trooper, Mario mushrooms, and some retro styles all in the couple’s favorite game store — this is one geeky fabulous wedding. Wait until you get a load of the homemade Kransekake, their first dance story, and the bride’s lacey vintage-styled dress. Oh, and you’ll get a kick out of what the groom did with their Mario cake!
Karen & Michelle’s “love, joy, and happiness” blue celebration of love
Blue details, a blue dress, a blue vest, and touches of red… this multi-hued wedding is something fabulous to look at, but also something that may get your tear ducts going. This pair shines in every shot. Their April wedding may not have been a legal ceremony, but a little miracle happened and well, you’ll just have to see how it all went down after that.
Emily & Branan’s Star Wars, wrestling, and badminton wedding
PEZ dispenser and Simpsons centerpieces, a baseball card guestbook, a huge styrofoam Yoda, and badminton birdie decor… have we boggled your mind enough yet? Oh, well then you may want to sit down for the groom’s outfit reveal. Think Randy “Macho Man” Savage at his wedding. It’s epic, but don’t miss the bride’s badminton racquet bouquet, Murder, She Wrote unplugged ceremony sign, and rubber ducky place cards.
Morgan & Ryan’s travel-themed, vintage suitcases, and VW bus wedding
The first three years of this couple’s seven-year relationship were spent on long flights and lots of late night phone calls. From California to Minnesota, their love is well traveled — as was their wedding. Think travel-themed and vintage (50 vintage suitcases, to be specific!), a ’69 VW bus photo booth, and lots more DIY and retro touches. But it was the bride’s tribute to her groom’s father AND her epiphany about being a plus-sized bride that really stuck with us.
Katie & Frank’s intimate Vegas rooftop wedding
When it comes to turnkey weddings, there’s no place like Vegas. This couple was able to snag an expansive and amazing suite at the MGM Grand, a rooftop party and dance area, and of course, an all-you-can-eat buffet reception at the casino. Is there any more of a guarantee of FUN? Just looking at the faces of these guests, we’re going with no. It’s obvious this pair had an amazing night with amazing people… and a fabulous handmade dress!
Lisa & Adam’s Southern gothic nerdy wedding
These two gothically-inclined cuties totally know how to combine TARDIS cookies with elegantly dark decor, sweet vows with a gorgeous stage ceremony, and Southern charm with grace in the face of grief. This wedding had its share of challenges, but the end result was something to be admired. Oh, and just wait until you see how the father/daughter dance ended up one of the funniest moments!
